Pono ki te Kaupapa

Puna ko te Reo

Tapa hūrere pakipaki hau

Pāororo i te rangi

E raro tapu-wai-nuku

E raro tapu-wai-rangi

Huhuti te ika rō wai

Pakaru mai Tangaroa

Ka hora te mana o ika nui

Tupua-horo-nuku

Tupua-horo-rangi

Whanake mai, e Ngake,

Whanake mai, e Tai

Ki te whaiao, ki te ao mārama

Tihei mauri ora!

TAIKI E!

Te Tīmatanga o te Kura

Our Kura is the wawata, from our late kaitiaki Mrs. Keriana Olsen and Mr. Richard Luke. Both were committed to the survival of Te Reo Māori and creating opportunities to promote, practice and sustain Te Reo me ōna nei Tikanga for the future generations.

With the support of all Te Kōhanga Reo within the boundaries of Te Awa Kairangi, the strength that cements this kaupapa was sealed with the physical structures of what we now know as our Kura.

As our Kura lies within the tribal lands and boundaries of Te Ātiawa, it is with respect we acknowledge and practice the kawa of the mana whenua when welcoming manuhiri.

We acknowledge our pan-tribal composition of the Kura whānau and encourage the sharing of kawa me ōna nei tikanga for all iwi.

Updated Rātaka o te Kura effective as of Term 1 - 2024
